The work on this album began at the end of 2019. Originally, the plan was to create a big collaboration, but then the pandemic hit… and you know how that went. By mid-April 2020, I—Marcos Garcia—decided to rethink some aspects of Vartroy. I realized I needed to take full control to keep creating music the way I envisioned. And so, I did! But… since I wasn’t entirely sure how it would turn out, I split the album into two parts—and that’s how BLACK & WHITE was born (including one track that isn’t part of ANOMALY). The response was positive, so I dove headfirst into this new project: ANOMALY. I’d say this album marks the second—and definitive—step in VARTROY’s new era. I hope you enjoy it!
O trabalho neste álbum começou no final de 2019. A ideia original era fazer um grande colab, mas então veio a pandemia... e você sabe como foi. Em meados de abril de 2020, eu — Marcos Garcia — decidi repensar alguns aspectos do Vartroy. Percebi que precisava assumir total controle para continuar criando música do jeito que eu imaginava. E assim, fiz isso! Mas... como não tinha certeza de como ficaria, decidi dividir o álbum em duas partes — e foi assim que nasceu BLACK & WHITE (incluindo uma música que não faz parte de ANOMALY). A resposta foi positiva, então mergulhei de cabeça nesse novo projeto: ANOMALY. Diria que este álbum é o segundo — e definitivo — passo dessa nova fase do VARTROY. Espero que você curta!
